Young Asian Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 – Semi Finale

Once again, a grand event was hosted in Asian Business School, on 19th April 2023. The event was Semi Finale of Young Asian Entrepreneur of the Year 2023, a business plan hackathon for the students of final Year of PGDM Program. The event was judged by one of the prominent entrepreneur, who recently has been on to the stage of Shark Tank as well, Ms. Shreedha Singh, Founder & CEO – The Ayurveda Company.

Ms. Shreedha inaugurated the event with a brief introduction of her entrepreneurial journey and motivated the students to come up with start up ideas, and utilise the various stages, schemes and funding opportunities available in market through venture capitals and government as well. After listening to her journey the audience were ready to witness the business plans prepared by our semi-finalists. The first presenter was Ms. Divya Jain, she brought her idea along in the form of prototype and pitch, after presentation the Q&A, took place for few minutes, where Ms. Shreedha has given her inputs as well, afterwards was the sequence of students presented their ideas and taken inputs from mam, which were really valuable and to be incorporated in the presentations further.

Shreedha Mam, appreciated few of the presentation very much, as students really gave their best in presenting, like Jatin Soni, started his idea with a rap song, which he himself written for his venture SharkPi and Manas added the video of Diabetic patients in his plan, which created an impact in his presentation of Mango Story. Pradyuman has also got his prototypes along and shown how his plan is very much suitable for Finale of the event. The audience really got mesmerised with all the 14 Business Plans. Once all the presentations were done, students, participants and all the staff members were really ecstatic and eagerly waited for the result and announcement of the Finalist, who are going to compete in the Finale, which will happen on 25th April 2023.

After all the analysis and calculation, Ms. Shreedha announced the result where she selected six students and one student was already there, Being the winner of the Young Asian Entrepreneurial Challenge, Mr. Arun Das. So, in total there were seven students selected as Finalists, who will compete for the Grand Seed fund of Rs, 5 Lakhs. This amount will be provided to the winner from the institute to initiate the idea and convert it into a startup.

In the end Ms. Shreedha was felicitated by Dr. Shweta Batra & Mr. Ravi Sharma for giving her valuable time and inputs to the students and thanked her so much for her presence in the institution.
