Aseem Kumar is a first class B.Com. (Hons.) Graduate from Hansraj College, Delhi University and an MBA in Marketing from R.A.Podar Institute of Management, Jaipur. He has also qualified the Intermediate examination of Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He has over 28 years of rich professional experience in both industry and academics. Over 18 of these years were spent in Domestic and International Marketing, having worked with International giants such as Pier 1 Imports, Dayton’s, Marshall’s, Retama, Target, and Otto among others.

He has academic teaching experience of over 5 years. He has taught students at the PGDM/MBA level in the following areas: Marketing Management, Customer Relationship Management, Sales & Distribution Management, Retail Management, International Marketing, International Business, Advertising Management, Strategic Marketing, Global Sourcing, Consumer Behaviour, Business Laws, and Export-Import Management. He is a good writer and an articulate orator. He has published and presented many papers at National/International Conferences. He has published 3 books:

  • Global Marketing: A strategic perspective (Excel Books)
  • Export & Import Management (Excel Books)
  • Managing Innovation & New Product Development (PHI)

He is widely traveled both in the country as well as abroad and has been to Europe, USA, China, Canada and Australia.

Presently, Aseem Kumar is working as Deputy Director, Centre for Management Development, All India Management Association, heading its Management Development Programmes (MDPs). He also takes courses for MBA students with IIFT, BIMTECH and other leading B-schools as visiting faculty.

On Monday, 30th July 2012. He delivered a lecture on “Business Ethics and Right Approach for Young Manangers”.  In his lecture he made the students realize the relevance of Ethics not only in business but in the overall development of an individual life. He gave insight of the organizations that are following ethics and how these ethics have paid them in the long run. He motivated the students to come up with the definition of ethics for the corporate world. The lecture helped the students to understand the fine line between ethical and unethical move in business.
