WORKSHOP ON SCIENCE OF WASTE MANAGEMENT

The Group of Twenty (G20) is the premier forum for international economic cooperation. It plays an important role in shaping and strengthening global architecture and governance on all major international economic issues. India is on a mission to bring about a shared global future for all through the Amrit Kaal initiative with a focus on the LiFEmovement which aims to promote environmentally-conscious practices and a sustainable way of living.

To promote environmentally conscious practices and a sustainable way of living, CSR Club of Asian Business School organized a workshop on “SCIENCE OF WASTE MANAGEMENT” on 17th March 2023. Ms. Gurpreet Kaur, Founder and Director of “Action in Community and Training”, an Environment based NGO conducted the workshop on waste management. She explained the process of 3 R’s of waste management and gave importance of segregation at grass root level. It was quite insightful and interactive session. This activity helped to instill amongst the students’ positive attitude and sense of contribution to society, which is required in professional life too. This workshop also enabled them to create interest towards positive impact towards environment through working on science of waste management. Great participation was seen from student’s side during interaction session. The resource person also suggested students about the e-waste collection activity to be carried out in the upcoming week in the college after sharing the importance of e-wastes, composition of electronic gadgets and their hazardous effects on human health which can be prevented if proper disposal of e-waste is done.
