Asian Business School’s Marketing Club-MARKTECHOS organized with great success the much-awaited “National Marketing Plan Competition” for all students of Asian Education Group (AEG) as well as external participants by the name of “MARKETING MANIA” on Saturday, 28th November 2020 at its campus located in Noida. However, in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and keeping in mind the social distancing norms, this event was conducted via online medium through the Zoom platform.
In total, 80 students participated in this competition and out of these, 33 were shortlisted through the preliminary screening round.
The winners of the competition were:
- The first position was bagged jointly by Mr. Vinay Tyagi of Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology and Mr. Kushagra Tiwari ofAsian Business School (ABS),
- The second position was bagged by Ms. Anushka Tyagi of Asian Business School (ABS), and
- The third position was bagged jointly by Ms. Jessica Toppo of Indian Institute of Art & Design and Ms. Sonali Sethi ofAsian School of Business (ASB).
The participants were expected to present a marketing mix for a symbol that was communicated to them at the time of event registration. The participants were judged on the parameters of Targeting & Segmentation, Plan for product availability, Positioning of product, Effective contribution of 4Ps in the plan, and Sales impact and target sales achievement.
All the participants exhibited a lot of creativity, enthusiasm, and marketing aptitude. A lot of thought and effort was put in designing an optimal marketing mix, which happens to be a critical precursor to a marketeer’s strategies.
