Relevance of implementing modern practices in curriculum of business education

Education, in many ways, is the single most potent tool that can change the destiny of a nation. Therefore, it is imperative that the education system must be rightly developed and be dynamic enough to incorporate the changes that happen in the environment around it. All the more, the pedagogy and the strategies must change depending upon the demands of the job market. Looking at the dynamicity of the business world in India, one finds that the ways of carrying out the business activities have changed immensely especially since the introduction and application of various Economic Reforms like LPG (Liberalization, Privatization, Globalization), and the latest campaigns like Make In India and Digital India. What’s more, the technological advancements have added to both the opportunities and the challenges in the corporate sector. So it is that, in the course of time, it becomes necessary for academic institutions to aim for the positive inclusion of such practices in the curriculum of their Business Education.

In order to effectively increase the exposure and employability skills of the students, the B-Schools must make sure to keep up with the pace at which the business environment is changing. Here, it may be mentioned that some institutes have identified the gap between the industry and the students and have taken it on themselves to remove the same. Institutes like Asian Business School (ABS), Noida are pioneers in introducing the concept of Industry-Integrated Curriculum wherein the curriculums for specialized subjects are not only designed in sync with the suggestions provided by the experts from the Industry, but are also taught by a panel Corporate Faculty. This practice that has been adopted by Asian Business School (ABS), Noida sets a Business Education standard in terms of taking the right steps to stay dynamic in the academic arena so that the students receive the best knowledge and exposure with respect to changing business environments.

Thus, it can be said that modern teaching unquestionably is the need of the hour because of its relevance in the modern era. Concomitantly, the revolution in the field of science and technology demands great ideas and extensive effort to deal with any kind of circumstances coming in the way of development. Hence, the entire load is on the shoulders of the young learners. Therefore, it is vital to give students not only knowledge, but also to improve their skills right from the very beginning.
