Recent in the series of guest lectures was the interactive session organized for PGDM students with Mr. Nirjhar Nagar, Zonal HR – North with Voltas Ltd. at ABS campus on Saturday, 4th Aug 2018. Mr. Nirjhar is an exceedingly experienced HR professional with over 13 years of experience and before joining Voltas he has worked with other lead organizations such as TCS, Reliance Group, Smith & Nephew Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. He spoke on “Corporate Culture & Industry Expectations” where he discussed about the changing work environment in the corporate world and growing expectation from the fresh talent. He also touched upon key skills a candidate must possess while entering into the new world of business.
The Session was based on experiential learning, video-based learning and learning by direct experience sharing. The speaker told the students about developing the leadership quality and team bonding in a corporate culture with the help of a role play activity. The activity was time bound and team bonding. With this activity he focussed the students on basic business etiquettes & Professionalism and commitment towards work of an employee in a corporate.
After the completion of the task Mr. Nirjhar spoke about corporate communication, goal setting and team building and finally the accomplishment of the goal with team participation. He elaborated on how to work in a team and interpersonal communications for the success in corporate life.
In the end he told the students about VOTAS Group & its products, the current changing scenarios of market and expectation of industries with the fresh graduates. The session was value additive and was highly appreciated by the students of PGDM program at ABS.
