Ritu Beri is a New Delhi based international fashion designer. She was the first Asian designer to head the French fashion brand “Jean Louis Scherrer”. She belongs to the Army background. She did her graduation from Lady Ram College in Economics (Honours) after which she joined NIFT. In 1990, she launched her first label in India and she presented a show in Paris successfully launching her first luxury collection and also became the first Indian designer to do so. Moreover, she is the only Indian designer to be featured in magazine “Acustyl”, which forecasts fashion trends worldwide. TIME magazine has featured her among people to watch in international business. She is the author of the personal fashion book “101 Ways To Look Her Best.”She serves on the board of Governors at NIFT and is an honorary patron of the Savera association. She wrote the most expensive Indian book, “Firefly- A fairytale.” The book is priced at Rupees 1 lakh, published by Ritu Beri herself and it will have limited edition.

Her international clientage includes former US President Bill Clinton, Prince Charles, Moulin Rouge, Nicole Kidman, Andie Macdowell, Supermodel Laetitia Casta, Elizabeth Jagger and Jerry Hall to name just a few. Her notable Indian clients are Madhuri Dixit, Priety Zinta, Parmeshwar Godrej and Shobha De. In 2010, Ritu Beri was conferred the Chevalier dams I’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, one of the highest civilian awards by French government, for her contribution to fashion industry.

We are proud to share with you the fact that Asianites got an opportunity to interact with such a great personality and attended the interactive session that was held on December 8, 2015. She delivered a master class in AIMA on the topic “Building Luxury Brands”and our students of BBA were fortunate to get enriched by her on concept of brands and how to build a brand internationally. Our students got a chance to interact with Ms. Sylvie Polette, French Luxury Consultant as well. Ms Ritu Beri was impressed with one of our BBA student Himanshu Sharma whom she applauded for asking the best question during the session which she was conducting herself.
