On 13th September 2024, the Synergize To-Get-HR Club at Asian Business School (ABS) hosted a highly interactive activity titled “People Scavenger Hunt”. The activity was designed to cultivate essential skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving while placing a strong emphasis on the importance of recognizing the positive qualities of others. Participants were from PGDM 2nd Year, bringing together the diverse backgrounds and strengths. The People Scavenger Hunt created a competitive yet fun environment where students worked together, stepping out of their comfort zones to interact and collaborate. This environment reflected the importance of positive workplace relationships that are essential for a thriving professional culture.
The event created a collaborative environment where participants had to actively identify and leverage the strengths of their teammates to complete various tasks. This mirrored real-world professional scenarios, in which recognizing and utilizing the positive attributes of colleagues is critical to achieving success. Students learnt to appreciate qualities such as leadership, creativity, and collaborative spirit, all of which are crucial in team-based projects and professional roles. Participants gained a deeper understanding of how others’ unique skills can contribute to a team’s success by working closely together. This activity facilitated the students’ understanding of team interaction and their role as team members. We divided the students into two groups of 26 each. We gave each group a list of students and instructed them to prepare positive identification clues for each student. The clues should lead them to those students mentioned in the list. Once both groups have prepared the clues, then the group must work together to find all the individuals associated with the clues.
The winners Jaspreet Kaur, Aman Kumar Purbey, Neha Batra, Nikita Dalal, Shruti Deshwal, Akriti Srivastava, Riya Raghuwanshi, Aryan Pratap, Govind Bagri, Prakhar Sharma, Vishal Vaibhav, Akash Kumar, Shubham Bhatt, Aman Kumar Maurya, Kushagra Yadav, Pratham Singh, Shipra Sharma, Sagar Seth, Pankaj Kumar Sahani, Amritansh Kumar, Vishal, Anand Singh, Rohit Rao, Vishakha Tiwary, Komal Prity, Kumari Puja Singh — were recognized for their teamwork, leadership and ability to collaborate effectively, all critical qualities in promoting a positive work culture. The learning outcome of the activity was that the students demonstrated teamwork, coordination, and creativity through a positive thinking mindset. We observed the intellectual growth of the students’ awareness levels and their understanding of team performance.
