Research and Development Cell of Asian Business School, Noida organized Promulgare – National Case Analysis Competition in collaboration with AIMS-Atharva Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai on Wednesday, 1st November 2023 for the students from all colleges / universities Pan India to display their analytical skills and critical thinking abilities blended with effective presentation style.
PROMULGARE started with the gracious presence of Dr. Shweta Batra, Dean Asian Business School, and she described explicitly the necessity of case analysis as an essential and effective learning tool for students so that, they can get exposure towards real life industrial situations or problems and Dr. Swati Bhatia, Head R&D cell, welcomed all the participants and talked about how analytical skills and critical thinking abilities can be well blended with effective presentation style during the the case analysis.
The event was focused on preparing students to understand various components of case study analysis and its application. It was a national level event where students participated from different colleges like Maharishi University Of Information And Technology, GIBS Business School Bangalore, Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology, Mohali Amity University, Gitarattan International Business School, Rohini, NDIM, Army Institute Of Management And Technology, Shri Jairambhai Patel Institute of Business Management & Computer Applications (NICM), Aditya Institute of Management Studies and Research, Vidya School of Business, Christ University, Bangalore, Ambalika Institute of Management and Technology, Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, ICMR, Jabalpur, GIA , Mathura, OP Jindal University, Chhattisgarh, Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, Oriental Institute of Management, Maharashtra, Jims Engineering technical campus and Institute of Innovation in Technology and Management were able to collect essential insights through participation.
82 teams with 380 students from different colleges were registered for the Case Analysis Competition. The teams were provided with case study for analysis.The participants had the opportunity to analyze, structure the case and present the case showcasing how the scenario will be dealt at corporate level before our eminent panel of judges who are experts having rich experience of industry and academia. The eminent panel of judges for the event were Dr. Rachana Saxena- Professor Jain University, Dr. Kulwinder Singh -Assistant Professor Panjab University, Dr. Indranil Mutsuddi -Associate Professor JIS University, Dr. Anupreet Kaur Mavi -Assistant Professor Panjab University, Dr. Renu Sharma – Professor Trinity Institute of Professional Studies, Dr. Sanjiv Gupta – Professor Panjab University, Dr. Geeta Bansal -Professor Panjab University, Dr. Bushra S P Singh -Assistant Professor Gian Jyoti Institute of Management, Mohali, Dr. Arindam Das – Professor University of Burdwan.
All the teams showed great enthusiasm and creativity in their respective time constraints, each team was allotted 10 minutes to present their analysis. Following a structured process of brainstorming and information exchange, the eminent panel of judges assessed the preparation level of participants and in the end a common consensus took place between the judges and participants on the area of barriers, recommendation and solutions. The winners of the competition were: First position was bagged by Team 14 – GIBS Business School Bangalore with a cash award of Rs.10,000/-, Second position was bagged by the Team 70 – Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology, Mohali with a cash award of Rs. 5000/-
