
Day 1 Report – 11th September 2025
Asian Business School, Noida, successfully inaugurated the two-day International Conference on 11th September 2025. The event brought together academicians, industry leaders, research scholars, and students to explore the integration of traditional Indian knowledge systems with modern business and technological frameworks. The inaugural session commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by the Welcome Address by Dr. Shweta Batra, Dean, Asian Business School. Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Director, delivered the Inaugural Address, emphasizing the role of knowledge systems in India’s growth. The Theme Address was presented by Mr. Saurabh Dutt, Executive Director, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, followed by the Keynote Address from Dr. Rajesh Pankaj, FICCI. The session also marked the launch of the ATAL Faculty Development Program on “Academic and Industry Synergies in Green Energy for Sustainable Innovation” and the book launch “Viksit Bharat: Harnessing Indian Knowledge Systems for Innovation and Entrepreneurship”. The Chief Guest, Dr. Pankaj K P Shreyaskar, Dy DG/ Jt. Secretary, Ministry of Education, addressed the gathering, followed by a Vote of Thanks from Dr. Sarmistha Sarma.
The technical sessions of the first day were structured across six parallel tracks, covering a wide range of themes. Track 1 focused on AI and Digital Transformation rooted in Indian Knowledge Systems, discussing AI-driven entrepreneurship, educational platforms integrating traditional knowledge, cybersecurity frameworks inspired by Panini, and digital finance solutions. Track 2 centered on Financial Inclusion, Indigenous Banking Practices, and the Start-Up Ecosystem, featuring discussions on fintech evolution, risk assessment in green financing, social inclusion perspectives, and innovation roadmaps for Viksit Bharat. Track 3, conducted online, explored the influence of Indian Management Systems for global business, with presentations on ethnocentric branding, Kautilya’s Arthashastra, leadership insights from Thirukkural, hybrid work models post-pandemic, machine learning in entertainment, and Ayurveda-AI integration. The afternoon sessions included Track 4 on Ancient Trade Practices and Their Relevance in Modern Business, Track 5 on the Role of Traditional Knowledge in Sustainable Business Models, and Track 6 conducted online on Ancient Trade Practices and Knowledge for Modern Businesses. These sessions addressed themes such as gender perspectives in investments, innovative learning in business education, yoga and meditation for entrepreneurial resilience, Gurukul-inspired educational platforms, integration of Indic knowledge with modern data science, sustainable leadership, indigenous heritage in women entrepreneurship, Dharma-based leadership, challenges in unorganized markets, and strategic agricultural development. The first day concluded with vibrant academic interactions, highlighting the commitment to bridge India’s ancient wisdom with contemporary innovation ecosystems.
Day 2 Report – 12th September 2025
The second day commenced at 9:30 AM with a Panel Discussion on “Viksit Bharat on Global Canvas”, featuring Prof. Yukti Sharma, Prof. Daya Shankar Tiwary, and Prof. Shruti Tripathi. The panel highlighted India’s potential to leverage knowledge systems and cultural heritage in shaping its global identity, covering education, policy, and innovation perspectives.
The technical sessions of Day 2 comprised four parallel tracks. Track 7, titled “Jugaad Innovation & Women Entrepreneurship for Brand India,” focused on frugal innovation strategies, women-led entrepreneurial initiatives, traditional practices for sustainable development, Phulkari-based enterprises, and integration of Indian Knowledge Systems into mainstream education through NEP 2020. Track 8, conducted online on Digital Transformation, Frugal Innovation, and the Indian Start-up Ecosystem, showcased frugal innovation influenced by national culture, start-up ecosystem development, leadership lessons from the Ramayana, AI-driven HR applications, entrepreneurial insights from the Arthashastra, digital marketing trends, and parental perspectives on pocket money through Indian knowledge traditions. Track 9, covering Spiritual Intelligence, Agri-Tech, and Cultural Relevance in Global Business, addressed ethical and spiritual leadership, dharma-based management, India’s millet revolution, and Gandhian approaches to gig economy challenges. Track 10, conducted online on Traditional Knowledge and the Financial Landscape, explored integration of spiritual intelligence in leadership and governance, workplace spirituality, diversity and inclusion in banking, policy perspectives under NEP 2020, artisan empowerment through e-commerce, and the challenges faced by traditional artisans.
The conference concluded with a Valedictory Session at 4:00 PM, led by Prof. Shweta Batra, acknowledging the contributions of participants and organizers. The Best Paper Awards were announced as follows: The Best Paper Award with a prize of ₹5,000 was conferred to “Cisgender Attitude Towards the Transgender Population in Viksit Bharat” by Ms. Meena Kumari, PhD Scholar, Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Dr. Santosh Meena, Associate Professor, Banasthali Vidyapeeth, and Dr. Harpreet Bhatia, Professor, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, University of Delhi. The 2nd Best Paper Award, with a prize of ₹3,000, was awarded to “Role of Indian Knowledge System on Frugal Innovations: A Study on Indian Start-ups” by Dr. Kirtida Vora, Assistant Professor, Sasmira’s Business School, and CA (Dr.) Prachi Malgaonkar, Assistant Professor, HSNC University. The 3rd Best Paper Award, with a prize of ₹2,000, was conferred on “Overloaded Karts and Underrepresented Citizens: Rethinking Viksit Bharat 2047 Through Urban Informality” by Ms. Minal Maheshwari, Assistant Professor, Asian Business School, and Ms. Rachel Arora, Student, Jagannath International Business School. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Prof. Sarmistha Sarma, formally concluding the two-day event. The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation, intellectual exchanges, and meaningful dialogues, reinforcing Asian Business School’s commitment to promoting interdisciplinary research and innovation through the lens of India’s rich knowledge heritage.
