Asian Business School held its highly-vetted 10th International Conference ABSIC 2022 “Sustainable Development & Green Business Models” on Saturday, 26th November 2022 at its Noida campus with great success. The event was smoothly coordinated by the Research & Development (R&D) Cell of Asian Business School that operates with the mission to become a centre of excellence in management education by focused research pursuits, through an interface with industry and academia.
The main objective of this conference was to deliberate on sustainable development and on green policies in all areas of management (HR, IT, Marketing & Finance) so as to have a positive impact on the environment and to boost business by garnering an impressive reputation. The conference appealed to everyone around the world to become more proactive and focus on the planet, which will die unless we move towards sustainability by adopting green business models. The Conference has encouraged rigorous work of any methodological or theoretical bent around the world, based on the principle that innovative research emerges from paying attention to wider context and connecting knowledge developed in different fields.
Welcome introduction of dignitaries present on and off the dais marked the beginning of the ‘Inaugural Ceremony’ of the conference. Dr. Shweta Batra, Dean, Asian Business School, welcomed the dignitaries with her welcome address and also set the tone of the conference with a brief introduction of the topic. This was followed by the Inaugural Address by Dr. Maroof Ahmad Mir, Dean, Asian School of Business.
Amitava Sen President – Vice President – Strategy & Alliances-Deshwal Waste Management, Dr. Kazem Samandari, Executive Chairman-French Bakery Pvt. Ltd, Aashish Beergi Founder & CEO – MASH Project Foundation were the eminent guests and speakers at this inaugural ceremony of conference who shared their valuable thoughts on the topic. The formal release of the ‘Conference Souvenir’ was also a part of this session.
This was followed by the ‘Technical Sessions’ that constituted of 2 Chairs which were chaired by Dr. Chabi Gupta, MSc Finance and Analytics, Program Head Christ (Deemed to be University) Delhi NCR, Dr. Vineeta Mishra, Associate Dean & Dy ACO, Faculty & Placement Preparation Coordinator (Finance) ICFAI Business School, Gurgaon, Dr. Indranil Mutsuddi, HOD and Associate Professor-HR, Department of Management Studies, JIS University, Kolkata and Dr. Abhinav P. Tripathi, Ph.D., MBA, MA (Economics), Associate Professor: Marketing ,School of Business & Management, Christ (Deemed to be University) Delhi NCR.
Thereafter, the conference witnessed the ‘Valedictory Session’ wherein session chairs appreciated the paper presenters and gave the valuable feedback. Poorna Chandran K R and Dr. Deepa Ittimani Tholath – Paper titled “Digital Finance As A Means For Financial Inclusion In India: A Review” in the Finance track, Dr. R Jemima and Dr. Richa Khugshal– Paper titled ” Green HRM- Practices & Challenges In Emerging Environment in the Human Resource track, Mr. Anurag Sharma -Paper titled “Analyzing the Recognition of Community Pharmacists as Healthcare Professionals: A Study of Consumer Perception in Delhi NCR” in the Marketing track won the award for best paper in the Academic and Research scholar Category. Neha Chaudhary–Paper titled “Portfolio Construction & Client Acquisition for Mutual Funds” in the Finance track, Anushka Aggarwal–Paper titled “Sustainable Business Models” in the General Management track won the award for best paper in the student’s category. The highly-vetted event ended with a vote of thanks by RDC team to all delegates, organizing and technical committees for smooth conduct and success of International Conference.
