    World Environment Day

Unnat Bharat Cell Coordinators, Ms. Shruti Pandey, Dr Navita Gurbani & Dr Akhilesh Singh, along with student coordinators on the occasion of World Environment Day, visited our network village Hazipur, to engage with rural workers and appreciate their vital contributions to health, education, and livelihood. An anti-polythene awareness session was conducted to sensitize residents about sustainable practices along with conserving water and nature.

The visit was marked by the active involvement of various stakeholders, including faculty and student volunteers from the institute, village representatives, environmentalists, and a special delegation from the Noida Pollution Control Board. The presence of the Pollution Board officials added value and depth to the awareness campaign by addressing key issues like solid waste management, air and water quality, and the importance of green cover in rural areas.

Renowned environmentalist Ms. Isha Wadhwa spoke on the need for grassroots participation in environmental conservation and emphasized the crucial role to stop usage of plastic and start adoption of Cloth bags. The team also interacted with villagers to identify local environmental challenges and brainstorm community-driven solutions.

This visit not only strengthened institute-village relations but also reinforced the commitment of the UBA Cell towards sustainable rural development. The event concluded with a pledge by all participants to adopt at least one eco-friendly habit in daily life.
