AICTE WORKSHOP ATTENDED BY SENIOR FACULTY OF ASIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL, NOIDA

AICTE keeps inviting Asian Business School, Noida to be part of all academic workshops held from time to time. These workshops are aimed at enlightening the colleges and institutes towards the vision and mission of the AICTE. In that series, the workshop on “Sexual Harassment of women at Workplace Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Act” was organized on December 29, 2015 and was held at APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Noida.

In view of government direction the AICTE is going to establish appropriate mandatory mechanism to sensitize the institutes and colleges towards sexual harassment in workplace against women and measures that could be taken to stop such a thing happening in the institutes and colleges that come under AICTE. The workshop was convened by Dr. Vinay Kumar Pathak, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University; it also had enlightened speakers, Mrs. Vinita Arya, Director, AICTE; Mrs Vartika Nanda, Stree Shakti Puruskar Awardee and Media Educator and Dr. Ritu Gupta , Associate Professor, Delhi University. Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe , Honorable Chairman, AICTE gave the vote of thanks in the workshop. The workshop was attended by over 250 delegates from various colleges. Senior faculty of ABS, Ms. Sunita Varma (HOD Students’ Affair) and Dr. Tanu Kashyap (Assistant Professor) attended the workshop that was full of wisdom and enlightened on the sensitive issue of sexual harassment against women.
