Q1: At first, we would like to know from you how does it feel to connect with your alma mater after a period of around eight years.
Ans.: It truly feels amazing. Walking through the same corridors, cafeteria and auditorium, after a gap of around a decade. All the beautiful memories of my college life just got a kind of rekindled. I would sincerely insist to all my juniors who are listening to me right now, that this college will provide you will innumerable opportunities, be ready and active to grab whatever comes you. There will be a learning in almost everything you do.
Q2: At present, you are working as the co-founder of TRU LegalTtech LLP. Tell us in detail as how did this idea come into being and the journey so far.
Ans.: To begin with, by the grace of Almighty I was quite a studious student right from the beginning. Though I was into academics, but I was not that outspoken; it was one of the primary reasons that I joined this college, to explore myself and work on my weaknesses. In this regard, PDCC classes helped me a lot, I must say. I was given frequent opportunities to stand before the class and speak gradually improve my presentation skills. Then with the help from CRC, I got good opportunities, first in the form of internships and then final placements. But with time, I felt that my real calling lied somewhere else. Therefore, even though I was earning good but I decided to quit and join a startup as an intern. But my vision and commitment was so clear that at present, I happen to be the co-founder of the start-up which I joined as an intern.
Q3: Apart from your other services, one of your most popular services is neo banking and challenger banking access to business founders. Tell us about this service in detail.
Ans.: India is having good banking system, but when it comes to corporates, they face a lot of challenges, there is a lot of documentation involved, especially when you have to do a global transaction. Now the block chain has come up with the tax tack wherein there is a bank of course, but behind the bank there is an institution as well which makes these transactions smooth. So, in a way this is also a niche segment wherein neo banking provides good services. India is coming with a lot of neo banks. And I honestly believe that this will grow quite massively in the times to come.
Q4: You were the topper of your batch and also were very active in participating in different activities, it will be interesting to know how did you maintain the balance between your academics and co-curricular activities.
Ans.: To be honest with you, I came from a small town, and I was not much sure about how things would proceed. Now if I keep academics a bit to side because if you are giving time with books, have good memory, you can score good marks. But where this college really helped is the fact that I got numerous opportunities to come to front and speak because I used to be really nervous when I had to face people. But PDCC classes and club activities, really helped me a lot and I would suggest to all my juniors that take these sessions very seriously.
Q5: About block chain, we are eager to know what steps should a company take to ensure compliance with privacy laws when using block chain. And also how do international laws and regulations affect block chain projects that operate across multiple jurisdictions?
Ans.: I currently work in 75+ jurisdictions and I am planning to expand more; and I must tell you that I have gained the knowledge of these jurisdictions. This also is pertinent to mention that block chain is a global phenomenon, it is not restricted to one jurisdiction. It was first US which came up with this law. Now all other jurisdictions are trying to match to the level which US already boats of. The good part about block chain is that it reduces the scope of corruption because once a document is put on record, it cannot be deleted or removed unless all the previous blocks give consent for it.
Q6: Your juniors are here, what all skills would you suggest them to develop if they too are aiming a career like yours.
Ans.: First of all, the spirit to never give up. But yes, it should be something you are meant for and wherein you can do good. It is very important to evaluate yourself, what your strengths and weaknesses are, then accordingly choose your course of action. Secondly, smart work is something which we should definitely opt for, but it would not work at all the occasions. You have to embrace hard work as well. Don’t wait for someone to motivate you, you should be motivating yourself all the time. And last but not the least, keep going.
