ICE 2013

International Conference ‘ICE-2013’ was organized in Asian Business School on 15th March 2013. The theme of the topic was Innovation, Creativity & Ethics in Current Business Scenario. The inaugural session of the international conference was Chaired by the eminent personalities from the industry which includes chief guest Mr Rajeev Bahaduria, Director Group HR, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd, Mr. Jyotirmoy Jain, Senior Adviser and Head Banking & Finance Division, ASSOCHAM, Mr. Rishi Mehra, CEO, Corporate Partners, Ms. Juhee Garg, an IIT alumni and presently heading Technology & Operations, Oyester Learning, Ms. Abhilasha Garg, Vice President, Algol Group of Companies and attended by the foreign delegates from “American Center”. Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Director, Asian Business School started the function by welcoming all the guests and setting up the conference theme. All the guests shared their expert views and ideas on the relevance of innovation, creativity and ethics in the current business scenario. Also were present the academicians from various management institutes from all over India to present their research work in the conference. On the occasion, the distinguished guests on the stage released the souvenir of the ICE 2013 which contained 54 selected abstracts of the research papers received from the academicians, researchers, industry and students all over the globe. All these abstracts and research papers were reviewed and selected by the conference review committee and the complete research work shall be published by ABS in the conference proceedings with ISBN. The few best papers shall also be published in ABS International Journal of Management. ICE 2013 witnessed a pool of new, innovative and creative research work being presented and discussed in the various specialized domains of management like HR, Marketing, Finance, Operations & IT and General Management.

The inaugural session was followed by lunch. Post lunch, three parallel technical sessions on different tracks of the conference were conducted in three separate rooms, wherein all the participants presented their research work and also addressed the queries on their topic by the moderators and the audience. On the basis of the quality of research work, presentation and its relevance, two papers were adjudged as the best two papers of the conference and awarded with cash prizes along with the certificates of appreciation and ABS memento in the valedictory function in the evening. The chief guest for the valedictory function was Dr. Rajeev Ranjan, Head & Vice President – HR, UEM Group. All the other participating presenters were also awarded the certificate of Participation. Thus ICE 2013 was not only a wonderful learning exposure for the students and faculty members of ABS but also a memorable intellectual exchange for all the distinguished guests and the presenters from various management institutes from all over India.
