AEG Asian Business School holds its ABS PGDM Orientation 2019 Program with due solemnity

Noida, 18th July 2019: Asian Business School – which is a part of Asian Education Group and is ranked as one of the best B-schools in Delhi NCR – inaugurated the new batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) on Monday, 15th July 2019. The inauguration kick-started a three-day Orientation Programme. This programme was organized to benefit the students who were about to embark on a new phase in their life. The orientation programme ran from 15th July to 18th July 2019.

The distinguished guests for the ceremony included Mr Chetan Bhagat, world-renowned author, columnist, screenwriter, television personality and motivational speaker; Mr P. Dwarakanath, Non-Executive Chairman, GSK India and Head – Human Resource Capital, Max India Ltd.; Mr Sanjay Kaul, Vice President – North, Nestle India Ltd.; Mr Farrhad Acidwalla, Entrepreneur & TEDx Speaker, Founder – Rockstah Media, CyberNetIV Digital; Mr Chandan Kumar, ION RBC –  India Optics Lead, NOKIA; and Mr Shivi Singh, Founder & CEO, Clear Dekho, who have graced the event with their august presence.

The programme also witnessed the presence of distinguished personalities like Dr Sandeep Marwah, President, Asian Education Group (AEG); Dr Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Director-Asian Education Group (AEG); Mr Saurabh Sharma, Director-Asian Education Group (AEG); and Mr Gurdeep Singh Raina Director-Asian Education Group (AEG) who hosted the event on behalf of the Institute.

In his welcome address, Mr Saurabh Sharma, Director-Asian Education Group (AEG) extended his greetings on behalf of AEG to all distinguished guests and congratulated all the new students on their “starting a wonderful journey today and entering the final phase of their educational career that would lead them to enter the corporate world as professionals or entrepreneurs.”

In his inaugural address, Dr Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Director-Asian Education Group (AEG) spoke about the need for students to “come out of their Comfort Zones and develop themselves and convert their potentialities into abilities and their abilities into capabilities so as to differentiate themselves from the others and thereby create their distinct individuality which is what matters in the corporate world.”

Addressing the august gathering, Dr Sandeep Marwah, President, Asian Education Group (AEG) enlivened the ambience with his inspiring speech laced with some stirring Hindi couplets and exhorted students to align their thinking & feelings with goodness and to remember that “to achieve one’s goal in life, you have to have a very strong determination and a Yes-I-Can-Do-It attitude.”

This was followed by the ‘Release of International Journal of Management as “a blend of constructive research papers that aim at nurturing a novel attitude towards traditional business models.”

Delivering the chief guest address, Mr P. Dwarakanath, Non-Executive Chairman, GSK India and Head – Human Resource Capital, Max India Ltd. congratulated the students for joining ABS which was a part of a great institutional effort and asked the students to utilize the opportunity, have their own plan for career growth, concentrate on learning the fundamentals of their subjects well by properly understanding the concepts, execute the knowledge into practice, and get a rounded experience of education.

Mr Gurdeep Singh Raina Director-Asian Education Group (AEG) then addressed the august gathering and spoke about how “imagination is more important than knowledge”, which he said was “the mantra for ABS as well”. He advised students to “become creative and innovative and not just knowledgeable”.

This was followed by the guest of honour address by Mr Sanjay Kaul, Vice President – North, Nestle India Ltd. who welcomed students at the start of a great journey and cautioned them that “Times have changed and it is changing fast; we need to gear up and be on the top of our toes for making things happen for ourselves.”

The sedate academic event then witnessed the formal ‘Oath Ceremony’ that was led by Dr Anubhuti Dwivedi, Associate Dean – Asian Business School.

CSD Appreciation of deserving students was next on the agenda.

The lively morning session of the inaugural event concluded with the customary Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr Ravi Sharma, Asst. Dean – Corporate Resource Cell (CRC), Asian Education Group.

The august gathering then dispersed for lunch.

The post-lunch session saw the star attraction of the event –world-renowned author, columnist, screenwriter, television personality and motivational speaker, Mr Chetan Bhagat – take centre stage of the function. The first thing on the agenda was the inauguration of the AEG Library Reading Lounge where he had a brief tête-à-tête with a bunch of bubbly AEG students asking him several questions about his professional journey so far in life. This was followed by the much-awaited power-packed session on the topic of “Creating Your Own Brand”. During the lively session, the brand master shared his thoughts on how a student should remain steadfast in the pursuit of their dreams and thereby achieve success and the satisfaction of creating their own brand.
