About the MDP

As an initiative of Research and Development Cell, we are organizing MDP on Management of Personal Finance to enable individuals to understand how financial planning can be used for personal financial decision making and to achieve the financial goals. Thus empowering an individual in taking the right financial decisions at the right point of time.

Objectives

  • To understand the instruments of wealth generation through the management of personal
  • finance.
  • To understand how to compare risk, return, and liquidity.
  • To learn the computation of pre and post-tax returns and make comparative choices.

Who Should Attend

All individuals are willing to manage their personal finances in an effective manner so as to create long term wealth and assets. Employed Individuals, Professionals, Management Students, and Home Managers – everyone requires the knowledge of managing personal finance and this MDP is for all of them.

 Resource Persons

Dr. Anubhuti Dwivedi is Professor and Associate Dean at Asian Business School. She is a double postgraduate (in Economics and Management) and is UGC- NET qualified in Economics. She has more than 17 years of experience in postgraduate teaching, research and academic administration. She has various international and national publications to her credit including six books apart from research papers. Cases developed by her have been published by the Case Centre, the UK and her paper on Peace Economics has been published by IGI Global, USA. She has presented papers at various conferences including those at IIMs and National Stock Exchange. She has successfully completed a research project on Digital Payments Adoption in India funded by NSE and New York University joint initiative on Indian Financial Markets and white paper based on the same has been published by New York University and NSE. Her articles on management education in India have been published in the Higher Education Review. She has been in various administrative positions where she developed the institutional framework and was at the core of various Seminars, Conferences, FDPs and MDPs while leading the team. She is on the editorial board of international journals where she has made a major contribution to management and economics research.

Vipul Mehta is a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and has done his PGDM in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode. He has over six years of industry experience in organizations such as Deloitte and JP Morgan. He also has over two years of entrepreneurial experience in the Solar Energy Industry. He is working in academia since three years where he specializes in Finance. His areas of research include Financial Markets, Financial Modeling, and M&A research.

Registration

The registration fee for participants- Rs. 500/-

  • The participation fee is non-refundable / non-adjustable against any other programs of ABS, Noida. However, changes in nomination would be accepted.
  • Please register by filling in the attached registration form and emailing us back.
  • Registration fee includes Certificate of participation, Tea and Lunch.

Mode of Payment

  • Fee can be paid in Cash, through Demand Draft or Online transfer
  • The participation fee is non-refundable/ non-adjustable against any other program of ABS, Noida. However, changes in nomination would be accepted.

Session I 10:00-11:30 AM Introduction & features of various investment instruments – FD, PF, Small Savings Certificates, NPS, Mutual Funds, Equity Linked Saving Schemes, Exchange Traded Funds, ULIPs, Gold, FMP, etc.
Tea Break 11:30-12:00 Noon
Session II 12:00-1:30 PM Computation of pre-tax return of the above-discussed market instruments for wealth generation purposes. Returns on equity market-driven instruments vs. Returns on debt instruments.
Lunch Break 1:30 -2:30 PM
Session III 2:30-4:00 PM Computation of post-tax returns of the above-market instruments for wealth generation purposes. Comparing various investment schemes on the posttax basis – viability for the individual investor.
Valedictory Session 4:00-4:30 PM
