Ms. Megha Gupta is a top HR professional with 15 years of HR experience across Fortune 500 companies. Currently Director-HR at Fiserv (a global provider of financial services technology), she has worked for organizations in financial technology, US based IT services, Telecom and creative sector. Her areas of expertise include strategic business partnership, organizational development, leadership development, talent management, performance management, diversity & inclusion, compliance and employee engagement. She has worked extensively with teams across US, Europe, APAC and India.
Ms. Megha Gupta has partnered with business leaders on capability building to meet future technology requirements. She has led org design for business, finance and HR and reorganized to define the right structure, span of control and focus on org priorities. She has also worked on HR for HR leading the vision of scaling up the entire team to a strategic HR Partner team and focusing on capability building to enable them through this change.
Among the several honours and awards that she has received include her recognition as “HR40under40” by BW Business World 2020 and winner of “ARE YOU IN THE LIST” Awards by People Matters in the year 2016.

The live session commenced with a welcome note, followed by a brief introduction of the distinguished guest by Ms. Garima Malhotra on behalf of the AEG family. Beginning her talk, Ms. Megha Gupta first of all expressed her grateful thanks to the Academic Team of ABS for the warm welcome extended to her and said, “the pleasure is mine to interact with this young student audience of over 200+ participants!”
Having said that, Ms. Megha Gupta got down to the topic of the webinar session, viz. “THE 3 Ts OF NEW AGE HIRING (TECHNOLOGY, TALENT & TRANSFORMATION)”. Introducing the topic, she quoted three recent studies conducted on a number of Fortune 500 companies relating to the new situations obtaining in the business world due to the COIVID-19 pandemic that warranted focused understanding. In the first study, most of the Fortune 500 CEOs stated that they believed 50% of workforce will never come back to office and will continue to work-from-home. The second study found that 72% of the companies had undergone dramatic technological transformation to keep their business operations running. The third study suggested that the business landscape had changed significantly and business models were being transformed in a big way to accommodate the strategic needs to change for the emerging new norms. Hence, according to her, “If remote working is going to become the culture, the hiring processes and talent acquisition is in for change.” She further stated, “There will be a sudden availability of talent in abundance as location will not be a constraint, and India will be a huge surplus of talent.”
Summarizing on “what does it mean for all of us”, Ms. Megha Gupta said, “Technology will be a fundamental game changer as it will lead to large-scale transformation of business operations. Hence, the call of the times was to think futuristic as an individual and keep learning new skills every single day. This would be all the more beneficial because there will be both an abundance of talent and abundance of jobs available in the Indian job market. So, one should concentrate on building up appropriate skills and right attitude in order to come up strong and successful in the new age hiring processes.”
Ms. Megha Gupta then opened the session for questions from the participants. Several questions were put up by the students, most of which were related to topic of the day, viz., “THE 3 Ts OF NEW AGE HIRING (TECHNOLOGY, TALENT & TRANSFORMATION)”. To each of these questions, the distinguished speaker provided the most convincing answers.
