Distinguished guest speakers have become an important part of the educational experience for students at almost all top academic institutes of professional learning worldwide today. The chief reason for this is that they expose students to real-world life experiences from the position of someone who has already been there. Students, therefore, get to see the insight and perspective of the guest speaker’s particular field and takeaway great lessons of life and learning.
These invigorating sessions hold out great benefits for students. One big benefit which follows from attending a session by a distinguished guest speaker is the enrichment of the students’ educational experience. By this exposure, students veritably get a glimpse into the everyday life of the speaker, which they can’t get anywhere else. Another additional benefit is the link that students get to make between what they learn in their textbooks and what they learn from the guest speaker. Research also indicates that it helps students to build important connections between what they are learning and the real world.
At ABS, we clearly understand the significance of these guest lectures and make all efforts to bring community leaders from around the world to Asian Business School whose achievements have had national and/or international significance.
As part of this academic feature, ABS recently hosted the International Motivational Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Performance Coach & Growth Catalyst – Mr. Simerjeet Singh – as an eminent industry guest. He delivered a special session for the new ABS PGDM batch 2018-20 during Orientation Program on Monday, 2nd July, 2018 that turned out to be quite inspiring and illuminating for the students.
