ABS organized its 2nd International Conference; GIMIC 2014 on “Global issues & Managerial intervention to chase vision 2020”- A Global Strategic View. The conference was inaugurated by eminent personalities from the corporate world. The conference attracted numerous abstracts & papers from academicians & researchers. The theme of the conference was in sync with the current changes taking place all over the world. Hence it gave a common platform for intellectual discussions & deliberations by top leaders & senior academicians.

The foundation of the theme for the conference was set by Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Director ABS. He showcased the insights presented by Dr. Abdul Kalam as to how the dream to be one of the superpower can be achieved. The conference was further presided by Dr. V.P. Singh, Executive Director & Chief Pupil at Devyani International Ltd. He gave a very deep insight to the conference theme that the vision should start for the globe, to the economy, to an organization & to an individual. He discussed very spiritual aspects of living a holistic life.

Mr. Karan Chechi, Research Director, TechSci Research (A very young leader)was the distinguished Guest & Speaker for the inaugural session. He bought a very motivational insight to the conference by discussing the positive insights of the country and summed it up by believing that we are moving very fast to our mission of vision 2020, will be achieved.

A very interesting analysis of direct and their ancillaries industries was made by our Key Note Speaker Mr. Kudaisya, Sr. AVP , EXL Services. His way of handling students & their questions was quite unique and impressive.

A new dimension was given to the conference by Mr. Anshu Taneja, Associate Country Director, Vision Spring India, where he emphasized the role of leadership in the changing environment & how a proactive approach towards business is required.

The most important highlight of the event was the address of Dr. Srikanta K. Panigrahi, Member, Board of Trustees, Indian Institute of Sustainable Development who gave an environmental aspect to the conference’s theme & why it will go a long way for a sustainable future.

The conference also market the release of 2nd volume of ABS Management Research-Articles 7 Applications with ISBN No. 978-81-927282-0-9 which again reemphasizes the research & academic focus of the Institute.

The Inaugural session was followed by technical Sessions where academicians & research scholars along with ABS students presented their research work on the lines of the theme of the conference. Overall it was a remarkable event in the history of ABS which has added another feather in the Research cap of ABS.
